Where the Class of 2015 is Headed
After years of hard work, diligence and dedication, this year's statistics graduates will continue their education, begin exciting new careers, sell their souls, and "drive aimlessly around the state of California."
Irvin Alcaraz
I will sell my soul to capitalism by getting a job.
Jason Anderson
I want to start working in industry. I am interested in getting into the actuarial field, so hopefully I'll begin my career with a job that will allow me to pursue that.
Leland Bailey
Live off the land, yell at my television, and drive aimlessly around the state of California. When I land a good job, only then will I stop driving.
Katherine (Katie) Christie
While I have not officially accepted a job, it looks like I will be returning to the company I have luckily had an internship with for the last four years to begin a career on their data analysis team. The company is a collection and auditing agency located in multiple states. I will be working in the office in Livermore, Calif.
Cori Gaul
I start as a data analytics associate at Deloitte in San Francisco this summer.
Julia Goll
Looking for a job.
Cary Hernandez
I will either return to The Aerospace Corporation as a statistician or be an analytic consultant at FICO.
Isabel Litton
I will pursue a master's degree in analytics from the University of San Francisco.
Jeremy Mulcahey
I was accepted to the State Farm MAGNet program at UGA. I will be working as a strategic resources intern for State Farm while earning my master's degree in environmental statistics.
Chelsea Obrochta
San Diego State University for a master's in public health in epidemiology.
Kevin Portis
I will begin training as a big data consultant for Teradata starting in summer 2015. I am one of about 30 recent grads participating in the program that includes consulting training as well as training in big data warehousing and analysis.
Phillip Richardson
After I graduate, I plan to work in industry, most likely with process statistics.
Mitchell Sanregret
No current plans. Seeking to be hired as an SAS programmer/analyst at any company (preferably a larger one).
Helen Totterdell
I'll attend a master's of public health program at Brigham Young University starting in the fall.
Robin Tu
I will pursue my doctorate at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign where it snows and temperatures drop below 30 degrees Farenheit.
Jesica Watson
I am going to graduate school in the Bay Area. I will be working toward a doctorate in clinical psychology, emphasizing children's psychology.
Christopher Yim
I am considering either pursuing a doctorate or going into industry.
