Year in Reflection 2011 — Jimmy Doi
In fall 2011, I had the pleasure of co-teaching Introduction to Statistical Investigation once again with Soma Roy. I appreciate getting to know our majors so early in their careers. It is incredibly fulfilling to see these students mature over the years. In the winter term I taught Statistical Computing with SAS for the first time in about four years and had the opportunity to include new information on ODS GRAPHICS/SGPLOT. On the research front I continue to be involved with some interesting consulting projects that I hope will turn into publications in refereed journals.
But the most important news of the year is the arrival of our first child! Our daughter is everything my wife and I could have ever hoped for.
